BE are privileged to be assisting main contractor Wates in the development of the new Julia’s House hospice in Devizes, Wiltshire.
Julia’s House is a charity caring for children with life limiting or life threatening illnesses. They also provide crucial respite care for parents and siblings. The new hospice is the culmination of years of funding and work developing an old council building and lodge into a sparkling, beautiful new facility.
Throughout the project we have been donating our testing services to assist with air tightness, with a series of existing, diagnostic and final air tests. These have helped to remove gaps and cracks in the fabric of the building and ultimately improve the energy performance of this challenging conversion scheme.
