Producing a Building User Guide can gain BREEAM credits during the commissioning and handover phases.
By producing a Building User Guide, users are able to better access, understand and operate the building efficiently. They can also be used to secure credits (Man 04) in the Management section of BREEAM 2018.
BREEAM 2014
A Building User Guide is a mandatory credit for BREEAM Excellent. One guide needs to be produced and handed over with useful information for the staff and facilities management.
BREEAM 2018
Building User Guide is a mandatory requirement for a Very Good rating. BREEAM requires separate guides for the staff and the facilities management under the 2018 scheme.
The guides will contain useful information on using building systems, energy saving, contact details, visitor arrival instruction and local amenity and transport information.
